Type Of Slat

Slats make up the body of the shutter — they create the physical barrier that separates the inside of your property from the outside world. You can choose from two types of slates — foam-filled or extruded metal — in two sizes.

Other Features

Key Lock

A key lock gives your rolling shutters an additional layer of security, and can be added to any manually-operated shutter.

End Retention

End retention improves your rolling shutters’ security by making it nearly impossible to push the shutter out of its guardrails, ensuring nobody gets in. End retention can be added to any extruded metal slat.

Storm Bars

A storm bar makes your rolling shutters more wind resistant, and prevents extreme winds from pushing your shutters out of their guardrails.

Manual Override (CMO)

In the event of an emergency, a manual override lets you operate a motorized rolling shutter independent of its motor. This is an essential safety feature for bedroom windows and critical commercial entrances.

Light Control via Perforated Slits

Rolling shutters do not need to create 100% blackout conditions if you don’t want them to. Perforation of the slat at the hinge can give you “in-between” light control without sacrificing insulation or security.

Obstacle Detection

Our motorized shutters can detect obstacles — like patio furniture you forget to move out from under the shutter. With obstacle detection, your shutters will close on the object, stop lowering, and then retract to a safe position.

Smartphone App

Our motorized shutters can be connected to smartphone apps and other “Internet of Things” technology through an optional hub. This lets you use common smart home apps to automate your shutters’ operations.

Ship / Pickup / Installs

We offer multiple ways to get your shutters. For customers in the Metro Phoenix area, we will install the shutters ourselves. Outside of Arizona, we securely pack and ship your shutters through a national network of dealers who can install them for you. If you are handy enough to install your own shutter, we can ship your shutters to you nationwide, or have you pick up your shutters from our facility in Tempe, AZ.

Mix and Match

We encourage customers to mix and match their operating mechanism depending on their needs. For example — for a business, it often makes sense to have all of your shutters operated by remote, but leave the shutter over the back door keypad-operated to ensure employees can open and close the facility without a key.

We’ve been helping our customers get peace of mind since ’79! We would love to talk with you about your needs.
